My name is Celeste Roberts and I am the host volunteer coordinator for MACC ((Multicultural Association of Carleton County) 
MACC assists people, from all over the world who have moved to Carleton County. As a newcomer you may be experiencing many changes; new country, new language, new culture and more.  
 The people of Carleton County are friendly and helpful, MACC can help you and your family meet and make connections with local people. New friends can provide you with support, an opportunity to practice your English, learn about Canadian customs, share your customs and experiences as well as provide opportunities to relieve any anxieties you may have.
 If you are new to the area, sign up in the host program. Together we can make these changes easier by helping you meet new people. Your own experiences and friendship will benefit volunteers (new friend) with exposure to new cultural experiences.
