Rita Ebbett-McIntosh was born and raised in Upper Kent, on a Carleton County potato farm along the banks of the St. John River. Following graduation from high school she went to Quebec on a French Immersion program to study French as a second language. After completing this program she entered the University of New Brunswick in the Bachelor of Science in Forestry degree program. Upon graduation from this applied science discipline she worked in the forestry industry in New Brunswick for many years.
Raising a family of three children on her husband's potato farm, Rita did supply teaching in the local schools and eventually saw a career change into Project Development and Program Management. She now executes Program Development / Coordination at MACC. Always a person to enjoy people, Rita has found working with the newest members of the county very fulfilling and interesting.
In her spare time, Rita enjoys family, friends, hiking, canoeing, travel and reading.
