MACC has been actively involved in the national effort to resettle Syrian Refugees. MACC has been providing support for Government Assisted Refugees.
Privately sponsored refugees are supported by the Carleton County Refugee Committee and the Woodstock Baptist Church with MACC providing consultation support. Although each organization provides support independently there is significant sharing of resources and volunteers amongst the groups.
There are several processes in which newcomers arrive in Carleton County. MACC’s is dedicated to providing support equally to all newcomers.
